Principles to be followed in the stamping process

Stamping is a production technology that uses the power of conventional or special stamping equipment to directly subject the sheet metal to deformation force in the mold and deform it, thereby obtaining a certain shape, size and performance of product parts. The stamping process in the hardware stamping processing plant is a metal cold deformation processing method, so it is also called cold stamping or sheet metal stamping, or stamping for short. It is one of the main methods of metal plastic processing and also belongs to material forming engineering technology.

The stamping process sequence of the stamping parts processing plant: blanking, cutting, trimming, tongue cutting, cutting, flaring, punching, notching, grooving, center hole punching, fine punching, continuous die, single process die, combination die, embossing, embossing, forming.

The following principles are generally followed for the shape, size, precision, properties and material deformation of the workpiece during the stamping process:

1. When the cross-sectional quality and dimensional accuracy of metal stamping parts are required to be high, it is possible to consider adding finishing after cutting or directly using precision blanking technology

2. The processing volume of the bent parts mainly depends on the complexity of their structural shape, the number of bending angles, the relative position and the bending direction. When the bending radius of the bent part is less than the allowable value, a finishing process is added after bending

3. The number of drawing processes is related to material properties, drawing height, drawing steps, drawing diameter, and material thickness, and can be determined by drawing process calculation. When the radius of the corner of the drawn part is small or the dimensional accuracy is high, a finishing process should be added after drawing

4. In order to improve the stability of the stamping process and to ensure the quality of the stamped parts, it is sometimes necessary to increase the number of processes.
